Mediterranean restaurant350 m² · Restaurant · Bar
A 350 m² Mediterranean restaurant and bar in Berawa, designed and built by Elper Development for a hospitality client. A dining room under a sculpted, backlit ceiling, a bar wall of lit bottles, banquettes in green and terracotta velvet, a lounge under a planted canopy and an entrance framed by a living green wall carrying the restaurant’s name. Every commercial project we take on follows the same path as our villas: one team for the concept, the permits, the construction and the fit-out, milestone payments and a documented construction file handed over with the keys. For a restaurant, that means the kitchen flow, the acoustics, the lighting and the terrace are designed together with the dining room, so the space works on opening night and photographs the way it feels.
The area: Berawa and Canggu
Berawa is the quieter, greener edge of Canggu, a few minutes from the beach clubs of Batu Bolong and the surf of Echo Beach, with the cafés, gyms and schools that made Canggu the busiest expat and rental market on the island. Villas here rent all year round, to families and remote workers in the low season and to holiday groups over Christmas and the European summer.
The lanes behind Jalan Pantai Berawa still hold rice fields and family compounds, so the best plots are the ones set back from the main road, and access, drainage and the neighbours matter as much as the view. Our own office is on Jalan Pantai Berawa, so every site in this area is one we can visit the same day.
